I am here to show you all of the wonders that live inside of my everyday make-up bag. I love seeing what other people use to enhance their natural beauty, especially if it’s drugstore products (I cannot justify spending £30 on a foundation at this moment in time). Here’s what I put on my face:
Ok so I don’t put this on my face but this is where I keep my everyday make-up. I picked this up in H&M a few weeks ago but I can’t find a link for it online. It was only £3.99 and they had loads of different patterns (mermaids, cats, all the cute things). If you’re looking for a pretty, travel size make-up bag then definitely pop into H&M and check them out!
I’ve recently been using this foundation in the shade ‘Light Porcelain’ (because I’m basically Caspar). It’s medium coverage which I love because it doesn’t feel too heavy on the skin. I’ve only just jumped on the Wake Me Up bandwagon but I can see what all of the fuss is about, it’s a fab product!
I usually use Collection Lasting Perfection concealer but it was sold out when I went to repurchase. This one isn’t as thick as the Collection concealer so it doesn’t hide spots very well, but it’s still good for dark circles and redness.
I’ve been using this Collection translucent pressed powder since I started getting into make-up. It does the job and, as you can see, it’s starting to wear thin now. I want to try Rimmel Stay Matte powder next – I’ve heard wonderful things about it!
I bought this a long time ago but have only been using it regularly for the past 5-ish months. It’s quite warm toned so I don’t apply much. On pale days I usually use the lighter tone mixed a teeny bit with the darker one. When I wear fake take I mainly use the darker shade, it never looks orangey which is definitely a win.
I got this little tube free with a copy of Glamour magazine back in November. It saves me so much space when I travel as I don’t need to carry around a pot of my usual moisturiser. You don’t need much of this product and it sinks in quite fast. I’d definitely consider repurchasing this once mine has run out.
I use a lot of different eye liners but this one is fool-proof. It’s a felt tip liner so it’s easy to apply and great for beginners. It takes so long to dry out and lasts all day. I love it!
Best mascara I’ve ever used. Go buy it now.
This is the perfect palette for neutral lid lovin’ ladies. The eyeshadows are mainly made of up browns and golds but there’s a huge variety of ashy/warm tones and shimmery/matte colours. This will be great for anyone who wants a natural look but you can also go bold if you want to.
Although I mostly use the 2 ashy colours in the top left-hand corner of the Maybelline eyeshadow palette (above) for my brows, it’s always handy to have a brow pencil in case you’re ever in a rush. This Maybelline one is a really soft, twist-up pencil. I love this because you don’t need to carry a sharpener and it goes on really smoothly.
Slanted Eyebrow Tweezers
I always keep tweezers in my make-up bag for stray hair emergencies. You can buy these in Superdrug, Boots and most supermarkets.
This is a great wearable colour if you want a nude lip to be a bit deeper and noticeable. The formula for this is really smooth and lasts for a few hours. This colour is perfect for transitioning from day to night too.
My favourite nude lipstick of all time. I’ve been wearing this shade for over 2 years and it goes perfectly with my pale skin. It’s super wearable really long lasting. I’ll definitely be expanding my Rimmel Kate lipstick collection soon.
I like to keep a lip balm in my make-up bag, especially in colder months. I always apply some before I start on my make-up so that when I put lipstick on at the end my lips are super soft.
My Real Techniques essentials are the buffing brush, contour brush and detailer brush from their Core Collection set. I use the buffing brush for my foundation and it seriously is the best . The brush is the perfect size and it always leaves me with a flawless finish. The contour brush is great for getting bronzer into the hollows of my cheekbones and blends well too as it’s super fluffy. The detailer brush is a lot smaller so I use this for my concealer.
The powder brush I use is from a set called ‘Fresh & Flawless five piece complexion set’. I can’t find any online but they have a similar set here. It’s super fluffy and travel-size so it fits in my make-up bag perfectly. The eye brushes are for a set which again, I can’t find anywhere online. You can buy an almost identical set here though. I love that there are a lot of Eco Tools brushes in travel-size form, and the quality is always great!
I’m always on the hunt for new make-up, let me know what your essentials are!
See you soon
